THREE DOG NIGHT As a junior high kid, I would sometimes get the songs by Three Dog Night and the Grass Roots mixed up for some odd reason. Plus, it didn't help with each of them having a song with a somewhat similar title, the Grass Roots, "Walking Through The Country" and my featured song by Three Dog Night. A number of years ago, I attended a concert featuring Three Dog Night and America. America performed first. After the concert, I thought it was a good thing it occurred in that order being that Three Dog Night put on a much more rockin' show which really surprised me. Had it been the other way around, it would have been a bit of a "letdown" having the mellower band close the two performances. After the show, I went to the merch table to purchase an America t-shirt and spoke about the two shows with the merch worker. He informed me the two bands alternated regarding who performed first. I found that interesting.
