mdh - Ahh, the lovely voice of Karen Carpenter, OWN! I have their greatest hits on CD. Way back when (maybe when I was in junior high?) I had purchased the Carpenter's 45 of "We've Only Just Began". I can remember where I was on the day of her passing. She was only 32. I had gone to a local record store that day and mentioned to the two owners about KC's passing. One of the two said something like, "No, what a terrible loss!" Unfortunately, he was being very sarcastic. Funny thing was... about two years later he passed away of AIDS! "No, what a terrible loss!" Said with sarcasm and not because of the cause of his death but because of what he said about Karen Carpenter's passing.
