Thanks, mdh, for the information you provided about "Special Girl" pertaining to both Meat Loaf and America! The songwriter has his original available for viewing on YouTube as well. I don't own anything by Grand Funk Railroad although I enjoyed their hits a lot on the radio. I remember seeing Mark Farner quite a bit on the 700 Club as he was like DanP each having left their bands and having a successful solo career as a Christian artist. There's another person from the world of rock who also did the same, but he hasn't had as much success as Farner and Dan in the latter endeavor. You may possibly remember my next featured artist for his career in the 80s as both a singer and an actor.
