They keep getting better.

Last night I saw the band in Indio, California, at the Fantasy Springs Casino. They were amazing. I brought my British son-in-law, who had never seen them, and he was blown away by not only how fresh they sounded, but their rapport with the audience, and their story. The guys sounded good, were full of energy, and more than that, they were full of positivity. Just a great show.

But the most amazing thing is their new tribute to Dan and Catherine Peek during Lonely People. They feature about a dozen pictures of the two on the huge screen behind them. Then, for the final verse of the song, it's Dan himself singing lead via footage from 1975-ish. This caused a lot of tears to be shed in the audience, and was about as emotional as anything I'd seen in a long time.

Fifty-three years and still going strong.

Sadly, that reminds me of the following Tanya Tucker song:

Thanks for the review, Kevin. Always refreshing to hear some actual band news on this site. I would love to catch a show some time soon. It’s been way too long for me. Would love to see this new tribute to the great Dan Peek.DanC

Thanks for the review Kevin. I’m glad to hear that Dan is getting some well deserved recognition from the guys during the show now. I understand the set list is pretty much what they’ve been doing for the last 4-5 years now(minus Covid cancellations), but I’d still go and see the show…
